Eligibility Requirements
At the School for the Talented and Gifted in Pleasant Grove, we take pride in offering a unique 4th-8th grade Dual Language Gifted and Talented program that nurtures academic excellence in both English and Spanish. Our students develop advanced skills to think, communicate, and lead bilingually, preparing them to succeed in a global society.
Dual Language Requirement
To maintain the integrity of our Dual Language Pathway (see attachment), all applicants must:
Have been enrolled in a Dual Language program prior to applying.

Demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish, as our curriculum emphasizes biliteracy and bicultural learning across all subjects.
Academic Requirements

Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 80%.

Score at or above the 70th percentile on standardized assessments.
Admission Process
Applicants who meet these qualifications will be invited to take an admission assessment, which evaluates:

Reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills in both English and Spanish.

Critical thinking abilities through the NNAT3 (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test).
Admission decisions are based on a comprehensive point system that reflects each student’s academic and linguistic strengths.
