Ms. Maria Diaz

I was born in El Tropezón, Ocampo Gto. A very tiny rancho in Mexico. My father would migrate to the Texas border to work in the fields until my three older siblings where old enough to migrate with him. By this time, they would all settle in Dallas while my mother, stayed behind with the four young ones, which included myself. Until, with a heavy heart, my parents decided to leave everything behind and undertake a very scary adventure to unite the family here in Texas.

My education began in Mexico from 1st grade up to 3rd grade. Once here in the United States, I started school at James S. Hogg Elementary in Dallas ISD, continued to W.E. Greiner MS, and graduated from Skyline High School. I started working as a TA at Hogg Elementary once I graduated from high school. I worked there for 21 years until STAG was opened in 2018. I took this opportunity as a great friend recommended, to whom I will forever be grateful. STAG has been my work home ever since.
